Programme Objectives

The Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge A-Level Examination prepares international students to acquire the knowledge and skills stipulated in the assessment objectives of each respective GCE A-Level subject covered in the programme.
 
The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) examination is an annual national examination that is taken by school and private candidates in Singapore. It serves as an assessment of a student's academic aptitude and is widely recognised by reliable academic credentials and diverse pathways for further studies and career opportunities.
 
With the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level), awardees may be eligible to enrol in local Singapore universities as well as universities worldwide, subject to meeting the required grades.

The module enables students to:

The module enables students to:

The module enables students to:
1. Provide students with an experience that develops their interest in Physics and builds the knowledge, skills and attitudes for further studies in related fields
2. Enable students to become scientifically literate citizens who are well-prepared for the challenges of the 21st century

The module enables students to:
1. Provide students with an experience that develops interest in Chemistry and builds the knowledge, skills and attitudes for further studies in related fields

Passing Criteria

Grading Criteria

The GCE A-Level grading system in Singapore ranges from A to U. A is the highest grade and carries 10/20 rank points, while U is the lowest grade and carries 0 rank points. The minimum passing grade is E, which carries 5/10 points.

 

University Admission Requirements

To qualify for University admissions, students have to get at least a D grade in English Language and Project Work. Admission into universities is highly competitive and will be based on each university's own criteria.
